Colonial has signed with Aecom Spain which is the largest office lease signed in the center of Madrid in 2014 by surface, since it means lease space 5,130 square meters, according to the realtor.
The Spanish subsidiary of US engineering firm and Colonial architecture has leased part of a building on Calle Alfonso XII, in the heart of the capital, where the multinational install its headquarters.
Aecom will move to this property in April 2015, when the 400 employees of the company begin to be installed in the new offices.
For his part, with this contract, Colonial almost complete occupation of the property a few months after it started its marketing.
The building of real estate in Alfonso XII has a total area of 13,135 square meters, divided into eight floors, offering BREEAM environmental rating, a seal that guarantees a 48% savings in electricity consumption, 50% CO2 emissions and reuse of rainwater.
The rating has been achieved under the strategy of real estate owned by Grupo Villar Mir, who happens to renovate and improve the facilities of its property portfolio for all of their assets have a "prestigious environmental rating".
